Balloon Fest

A first night Fireworks Display on the beach at 9:45 pm Thursday June 23  sponsered by Palace Playland.   Old Orchard Beach Maine’s biggest summer event ever will fill the skies over Southern Maine’s Premier Beach with  colorful hot air balloons! This is the  2nd annual  Old Orchard Beach Spirit in America Hot Air Balloon Festival as it kicks off on Friday June 24th and ends noon Sunday June 26. Balloon Operators will perform night glows on  Friday and Saturday evenings at dusk, watch the Balloons inflate, then sit back and watch the colors dance against the night sky. It is a sight to behold.  Saturday will also host the New England Sky Divers Show.

BBQ at The Ballpark

 tethered balloon rides each day at sunrise will give event participants a chance to experience a truly unique view of the surrounding Beach and Town and also let you find out what an actual flight would be like while being securely tied to the ground. Early Saturday morning the Christopher Cash 7th Annual Memorial 5K Run & 2.5 Mile Walk starts by the town Fire\Police Station, later in the day a real New England Lobster Bake on the Beach will take place along with a Beach BBQ Hoedown at the ballpark.
